Getting pregnant is every women’s dream. You are married and well settled, now it’s the time to think of climbing the next step – becoming parent. You and your husband is very excited even by thinking about this fact – that now you are ready to take the next step. With the excitement, comes a lot of confusion and worry. 85% of ladies get pregnant within 12 months of planning a baby, however 15% find it difficult to achieve it so easily. If you are finding it difficult to become pregnant, it’s the time that you and your husband visit a doctor and undergo various fertility tests available. Also important is to understand your menstrual cycle to make sure that you are choosing the right time to have an intercourse and hence plan a baby. You need to know when you are most fertile and plan accordingly. Though everyone’s menstrual cycle differs but what you need to calculate is the number of days between the first day of two consecutive periods. If it is a twenty-eight days cycle, the release of an egg occurs around fourteen days before the next period. This is the time when you are most fertile to become a mother and is termed as Ovulation. If you have confusion regarding your Ovulation period, do check with your doctor or write to us about your menstrual cycle and we shall help you evaluate the same. You can also use home ovulation predictor tests available in the market to determine your ovulation period. However, to plan a baby you need to keep trying. All the very best!
