These helps a body to fight diseases, loose weight, lower your cholesterol, blood pressure and also helps to maintain your blood sugar swings. They also helps in getting beautiful skin and hair. It is an important and healthy food to include in your daily diet. Here is a list of some Green Vegetables which you can include in your daily diet. You should also encourage the consumption of these vegetables in your kids as they help them build up their immunity.
1- Leeks: They can be added in vegetables, soups or can be eaten raw in salads. Leeks are low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals.
2- Lettuce: A vegetable with all essential nutrients is good for health. They are extremely low in calories, full of vitamins. It also carries good amounts of minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, which are required for proper functioning of body metabolism.
3- French Beans: Green beans also known as french beans. They contain protein, fat, calcium, phosphorous, vitamin A, B, C, D and K. 7- Broccoli: Broccoli is rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, and folate. It should be introduced in our diets and can replace cauliflower to reduce the calorie intake. Chop it small to include in your kid’s food.
8- Cabbage: Can be eaten raw in salad or used to make vegetables or chinese food. Cabbage is considered to have cancer-fighting compounds. It is rich in vitamin C.
9- Capsicum: Capsicum being rich in vitamin A and C helps build up immune system of a person. They are also considered to burn your body fat but are also considered to help patients with blood pressure by lowering their cholesterol levels.
